I have been enthralled with entrepreneurial stories lately. It is fascinating, to learn about ideas and the evolution of how they go on to change the world around us. Dually, I am thrilled to hear the history of the people making these shifts within society.
Most recently, I listened to an interview with Adi Tatarko of Houzz where she recalls a deal her mother made with her when she was a youth. Her mom asked that she never lie and in return, would then have her mother’s full support. If she did not want to go to school once a month and take the day to instead go to the beach, her mother would allow it as long as she was transparent about the plans.
What an interesting concept, I hope to implement with my own children. So much benefit in giving kids the appropriate guidance and also the power to chose their course in life is an amazing gift I wish I had learned about sooner. A beautiful way of building trust and empathy within your relationship.
No wonder Adi went on to become a dreamer and confident navigator of her destiny via a successful company she still runs with her husband, Alon Cohen.
